Abstract :
The cross connecting mode is widely used by the long XLPE cable. However, it is difficult to monitor the cable insulation because of the complex way of connection. This paper puts forward an on-line monitoring system for the cross connecting cable based on virtual instrument. The system adopts synchronous sampling and vector calculation as the maily analytical method. This system has the advantages of excellent anti-interference ability, good stability, powerful analysis, friendly interface, and convenient operation. It offers a good platform for the centralized monitoring and centralized management for the cables on urban power network.
