Abstract
This paper presents an FEM analysis for computing the performance of a double-sided axial flux permanent magnet synchronous generator (AFPMSG). The AFPMSG has 16 poles on each rotor and a compact disk armature winding with 12 coils and without iron core. The accurate field distribution and load performance are computed for a prototype machine.
