Abstract :
In this research, we mainly focused on synthesis and characterization based on luminescence and electrical properties of ZnS:Mn nanocrystals. Two samples of Zn1-xMnxS with x = 0.15 and x = 0.35, have been prepared by sol gel spin coating method. The samples were characterized by using Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM), Photoluminescence Spectrophotometer (PL) and current-voltage measurement. In current-voltage measurement, two conditions were considered which the samples were characterized in dark condition and under external illumination. We have found that, more current have produced when the samples were exposed to UV. Nanospherical with the average size is around 25 nm shows the current increases with the increasing amount of Mn from 0.15% to 0.35% for both conditions. Meanwhile, PL spectra exhibited two emission bands at blue emission (390 nm) and orange emission (590 nm). Furthermore, the luminescent intensity and conductivity become increased with the increment of Mn doping.
