Abstract :
This work describes the partial discharges (PD) measurement system developed by CEPEL. This system uses as measurement hardware high speed digitizers boards and an industrial computer over the PXI bus, and it was conceived to work online, registering remotely statistic maps of PD to form a historical measurement database. It shall be used by specialists (humans or not) to analyze the operative state of the insulation system of high voltage equipment.
