Abstract :
Based on the core loss analysis that used the finite element method and E&SS model, this paper had conducted a two-dimensional heat transfer analysis with hysteresis loss as its heat source and clarified the heat distribution within the test piece. Core loss is reported to vary according to magnetic anisotropy and magnetic flux conditions. By using the finite element method and the E&SS model that can express these conditions accurately, it is possible to express the local hysteresis loss. With hysteresis loss as its heat source, the heat distribution can be obtained from heat transfer analysis. Generally speaking, since core loss is evaluated using the whole model, it is important to understand the local core loss in order to reduce it. This paper reports a heat transfer combined analysis with core loss as the heat source using a model core.
