Abstract :
In this paper, the perceptual graph is proposed to represent the relationship between neighboring image points. The ant colony system is applied to build the perceptual graph of digital images, which makes the basis of the layered model of a machine vision system. In the experiments, the edge feature in digital images is extracted based on the proposed machine vision model. The experimental results show that the ant colony system can effectively extract image features.
