Abstract :
A multiwavelength Brillouin-erbium fiber laser based on highly non linear fiber in a ring cavity is presented. With utilization of a partially reflective Fiber Bragg grating of 50% reflection as loop mirror up to 21 stable Brillouin stokes lines of 0.08nm spacing could be generated. This was achieved utilizing short length of 1km highly non-linear fiber and pre-amplified by erbium doped fiber of only 7m.
