Abstract
In this paper, the geometrical similarity scale-up theoretical model of rotor structure in mixer is established according to the rheology theory of rubber mixing process .The mixer is designed by adoption of the model formula, using several geometrical proportional coefficients of which the solving method have been found .The designed mixer is compared with the prototype mixer, the results showed that the magnitude of error is acceptable from an engineering design standpoint. In order to validating this model, the experiments of large-scale machine with the same specification are finished, The quality of rubber compound is similar to the quality in the prototype mixer, the result of experiment data and regression analysis verified the obtained results and advantages of geometrical scale-up theoretical model.
