            Abstract : 
The number of the paper currency is unique, which reflects the quantity of issue. Using this feature, this paper presents a digital anti-counterfeiting technique and designs a new type of paper currency detector based on ARM9 which keeps the basic functions of general-purpose detectors existing. The new type of paper currency detector can record the numbers of paper currency, which is also introduced the technologies of digital watermarking, 2-dimensional bar code anti-counterfeiting and network tracking control. The results show that the digital anti counterfeiting techniques and the design of new type of paper currency detector can improve the security of paper currency greatly, eliminate the circulation of counterfeit money fundamentally and curb financial crimes effectively.
