Abstract :
The major market demands are energy saving, low cost, multi function and less maintenance on fluorescent lighting. The ballast manufacturers are developing new technologies to meet the demand and launching new products to the market. In the presentation, the current situation of the technologies and products are discussed by introducing examples, then future trends are pointed out by considering relationship of various technologies and demands
