Abstract :
Thin semicrystalline silicon solar cells made from a direct-cast method with passivated grains were applied with a back-surface field for voltage enhancement. The mold coating, was modified in order to improve release of very thin wafers (0.15 mm) from the mold. With a surface finish of <10 μm, very thin wafers can be easily removed from the mold without breakage and mold coating longevity can be improved
