Abstract :
Provides a new method which uses binocular 3D vision technology to extract the depth information of the electro-eroded contacts of electrical equipment, rebuild 3D images and then make a comprehensive analysis and processing of the surface appearance photograph and peak-to-valley profile, and finally automatically display the peak-to-valley curve and print out the various roughness characteristic values. In this paper, detailed discussion is made on the hardware realization, edge image processing, calibration calculation, image matching and testing precision of the binocular 3D vision system
