Abstract
This paper describes the necessity to analyze the transmission adequacy (TA) of the power market, analyzes the factors that affect the TA and the parameters that scale the TA, all of which will be different in the power market, and deals with the loss of short transmission adequacy and the methods to improve the level of TA in the power market from the angle of risk management. It also puts forward a self-adaptive evaluating model and management platform to analyze TA in conformity to the situation of our country and the building of the power market. Finally, the paper proposes an effective method and tool to help the market participants keep a suitable level of the TA in the power market, which is highly adaptable to the developing power market
