Abstract
The data loss or corruption of data during the transmission in Wireless Body Area Networks (WBAN) is relatively high. To provide fault-tolerance and to avoid data loss in WBAN during transmission, Adaptive Reliable Cooperative Data Transmission technique (ARCDT) is proposed. By this technique, the data transmission loss is avoided by using a multi-relay concept in which all the relays are used for collecting data from the sensor network and transmitting the collected data to the sink The result shows that the overhead in the WBAN data transmission is reduced by 13% and there is a significant improvement in the other Quality of Service (QoS) metrics as well.
