Abstract
The photovoltaic (PV) power generating technology strategic plan of the Florida Power Corporation (FPC) is described. The results from the implemented activities for the strategic plan are addressed. The utility´s perspective on experiences gained from the design. construction, operation, and maintenance of the 15 kWp thin-film amorphous silicon (-Si) PV array is discussed. An approximate cost breakdown of this array is also presented. A sensitivity analysis of small customer-owned grid-connected PV systems using a demand-side management. (DSM) model developed to apply specifically to the FPC system is presented. Future strategies for FPC relating to the PV technology are summarized
