Abstract
As content access and delivery becomes the dominant activity in the Internet, it is increasingly critical to support it in an efficient and scalable way. In this paper, we study how content delivery networks can evolve through an increased presence at the network´s edge and a blend of functions to give increased value to users as producers and consumers of content, and present the support node of this new architecture. We also discuss the new opportunities created by this architecture for Internet Service Provider (ISP) to become active participants in the evolution of the content-centric Internet.
