Abstract :
Labels in any packet is essential for the identification of products. An entrepreneur enhances the appearance of the labels for promoting a product. The significance of label is to provide information to a prospective customer about the ingredients of the product. Identification of defect in labels is thus important for any Producer. The proposed work presents a technique for defect in label diagnosis on cigarette packets. This work is based on application of LabVIEW image processing techniques. The proposed algorithm is tested on more than 50 number of cigarette packets and found the correct result in all cases. Online application is being carried out now and will be reported soon.
