Abstract :
This paper proposes a novel laminated structure of double excited three-degree-of-freedom (DOF) motor. The proposed three-DOF motor can improve manufacturability, due to laminated structure. And it has a pole that has an electromagnet for stator and rotor, hence does not use a permanent magnet (PM). In addition, because of laminated structure, it possible to use magnetic equivalent circuit (MEC) and 2D finite element method (FEM). The torque characteristics of proposed three-DOF motor are analyzed by 3D FEM. The torque equation is also obtained from MEC. To verify the torque equation, the computation results are compared with 3D FEM.
