Abstract

This paper summarizes the accomplishments of TC 78 over the last 20+ years, discusses the change in direction taken in 1996 to better serve the global interests and needs of live line working, introduces the Strategic Policy Statement of TC 78, and updates information presented in a previous paper. In addition, the paper lists the publications prepared by TC 78, describes current projects and subjects under consideration, discusses the structure of TC 78 including the functions of Project Leaders and Maintenance Teams, and outlines the market relevance of TC 78 products
