Abstract
A cyclic A/D (analog-to-digital) conversion technique is presented for achieving a conversion performance independent of capacitor ratios. Based on the concept of charge redistribution, the method requires only two operations per bit. This technique can be realized by a switched-capacitor circuit with two balanced operation amplifiers and a comparator. With the balanced structure, the charge injection effect of the switches is also effectively minimized.<>
