  • Abstract
A few years ago, some cellular and personal communication services (PCS) companies began to install antennas on high voltage towers and asked the telecommunication company to provide wire-line service to their electronic equipment located at the base of these towers. Because high voltage towers may be subject to very high ground potential rise (GPR) during a fault, it is necessary to properly protect the telecommunication network from power system fault surges for the safety of customers and employees
