Abstract :
An accurate geometric model of the bistatic SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) system is proposed. The main difference of this model from that used before is that it simplifies the calculation of range history when earth rotation, satellite/airplane motion and two platforms´ perturbation are taken into account. The motion of target is described in the target coordinate system in order that the relative platform-target motion can be calculated accurately without estimation. The proposed model could be easily applied and specially adapted to conditions of any configuration of bistatic SAR.
