Abstract :
This paper shows a study on the thermal analysis of IPMSM (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) for electric scooters. When designing an IPMSM, it is very important to consider thermal behaviours for magnet, rotor core, coil, stator core because increased temperature could damage the coil insulation or increase the stator coil resistance that cause a terrible traffic accident. According to coupled analysis of magnetic field and thermal, comparison graphs between the experiment data and simulation data are presented in the paper.
