Abstract :
In this paper a method for optimum active power distribution among power plants of electrical power system (EPS) has been proposed. The optimum active power distribution among power plants is a ongoing problem. It´s very important from economic sight when integrated power system is maintained by different companies. For solving this problem in different contributions usually Lagrange method is used. In order to improve the process of optimization, Lagrange method has been expanded. The paper proposes to accept the changes of system active power losses only to determine the power balance. Partial derivatives with regard to the change of power losses has been implemented for the power of separate transmission lines through which it is transported from remote power plants instead of the total power losses of whole system usually used in Lagrange method. Although distributive characteristics of active power in this paper are determined applying Lagrange method, the use of existing control algorithms for the process of active power dispatch confirms the effectiveness of proposed algorithm. The proposed method can be applied for solving the problem of optimum distribution of active power among power plants of EPS serving by different companies in industrial developed countries as USA, Canada, Japan and Germany.
