Abstract :
A linear, time-invariant (LTI) pole-zero model of the AN/FPN-42 transmitter is developed for a typical operating point of the transmitter and then extended for other operating points as well. These LTI models are catenated and time variations are added to produce a nonlinear, time-varying model of the ´42 transmitter which is superior to a simple linear model and which allows pulse-shape control algorithms to be tested more thoroughly than with a linear model
