Abstract :
The author deals with the robustness analysis problem for linear electric circuits and control systems in the case where the original problem can be equated to the problem of checking the positivity of a multivariate function or a set of functions over a hyperrectangular domain. An interval first-order method for solving the latter problem is suggested. Numerical examples show that the overall efficiency of the present method is considerably superior to that of other known interval algorithms
