Abstract :
In order to be always best connected for various applications, the network selection procedure, in heterogeneous multi-access environment during vertical handover decision is intended to choose the most appropriate time and the most suitable network for mobile user. This paper addresses this difficulty by adopting multi attribute decision making methods(MADM). A classification method is initialy applied to gather the criteria in a whole of the homogeneous classes. Afterwards AHP, a MADM method is applied to determine weight of inter-classes and intra-classes. Finally, TOPSIS a ranking method MADM, is used to rank the alternatives. Simulation results are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of our hybrid approach.
