Material separation in CT reconstruction based on data-domain dual energy decomposition

We propose a method of material separation based on data-domain dual energy decomposition. Our method is not limited to a number of materials to be separated, i.e., suitable to separation of three or more materials using image processing techniques. We describe our method and show results of numerical simulation and with real data of a head phantom.
