Abstract :
In this paper a hybrid controller design for a rotary dryer process is presented. First, a H∞ robust controller is obtained. Some tracking specifications are proposed in order to test the quality of this former controller using the Nichols chart and some QFT (quantitative feedback design) contours. Then, a prefilter is designed to lower the control signal amplitude and to fit all the plants in the set between the two specifications.
