Abstract :
In order to compare cellular technologies and services with respect to EMF exposure, the methodology for comparing user equipment transmit power levels averaged in time is proposed. Focusing on data that can be retrieved from the network and drive-test measurements, the paper identifies the main challenges: different reporting in different technologies, different signal shapes, and the activity of the service on the radio interface. The methodology for processing recorded samples is given, and illustrative examples analyzed.
