Abstract :
The increasing demand for high quality Content delivery has driven both network and service providers involved in (real time) media streaming to apply appropriate technologies as to offer better Quality of Services (QoS). Since frequently Content Service Providers (CSP) and Network Providers (NP) are separate business entities, it is not always possible for CSPs to obtain detailed network related traffic information, hence the necessity to develop techniques able to (partially) circumvent this constraint. This paper addresses this issue by proposing a strategy for dynamic Content Server access and selection, based solely on measurements done at either server location and/or client premises, based on a method used in Financial Technical Analysis for parameter evaluation.
