Abstract :
The paper presents an implementation of client software for reception of television program from a SAT2IP server. The client software is written in C programming language, for Linux operatnig system. RTSP protocol is used for command connection, and RTP-RTCP for transmission of media stream. Both unicast and multicast operation are supported. The client can be integrated in Set Top Box software stack, in order to support IP television.
