Abstract
The design procedures for a typical real-time processing system (the checkout system for an artificial spacecraft) were analyzed by experienced engineers using the hierarchical functional software process (HFSP) model and attaching importance to time elapse in design work. Another team was formed to design another design problem, reusing the software process, and evaluating it. It is shown that a new set of software processes which have broad adaptability can be obtained
