Abstract :
As the extension of traditional wavelets, the properties of multiwavelets are better than traditional wavelets, in addition more time and frequency messages can be obtained through the decomposition of multiwavelets. Based on the introduction of basic multiwavelets theory, power transient signal decomposition with multiwavelets is analyzed and discussed in the paper. The effect of pre-processing methods of multiwavelets for the processing of power transient signal is presented. Through the discussion about the decomposition results of power transient signal with multiwavelets, a method of time frequency analysis with multiwavelets in power transient signals is proposed and validated in the end
