Abstract :
In this paper the experimental results and statistical evaluation of the characteristics of the radio signal envelope for the 2.4GHz band, in an indoor environment are presented. The measurements were performed in a hallway, in scenarios assuming different hallway widths and different number of obstacles (moving people) between the transmitter and receiver. Our goal was to determine how these small changes among the considered scenarios affect the nature of fading in indoor environment, in the frequency band that belongs to almost ubiquitous wireless local area networks (WLANs).
