            Abstract : 
This paper presents the proposal of INCA (integrity, non-repudiation, confidentiality and authenticity), a flexible and scalable security service for e-learning applications. This service provides interfaces for use in any Web-based collaborative learning environment. The main features of the service and a case study on its application in the Sakai chat tool are outlined. The case study is presented as proof of concept for the security services proposed in this study.
