Abstract
New design issues that arise in applying the DRB (distributed recovery block) scheme to multiple adjacent computing stations are discussed together with some promising approaches. The issues discussed include the interfaces between multiple DRB stations (computing stations incorporating the DRB scheme), the structure of a DRB station that uses substantially different procedures for processing different types of data items, the structure of a DRB station required to deliver its processing results at several different stages, and the structure of a DRB station using N (>2) try blocks
