  • Abstract
    In this paper, we propose a UTC-PD having high speed and efficiency characteristics utilizing a frequency compensation has been investigated, We also propose a novel photodiode where both the quantum efficiency and the bandwidth are increased by utilizing a pole-zero cancellation effect. Analysis show that the bandwidth of the modified UTC-PD is more than two times larger than that of the conventional UTC-PDs when the efficiency are the same.
