Abstract :
In an attempt to improve teaching and learning of programming subjects, for post graduate first year students in computer management, researcher has applied the model of differed assignments. The model suggests classification of students in skilled, semiskilled and unskilled categories and shows improvement in skilled group but less success for semiskilled and unskilled group. As a second phase of the model, different development factors affecting programming ability, such as spatial ability, mathematical aptitude etc were considered and exercises were practiced by the students. It improves semiskilled groups, lifts up unskilled group to normal confidence level and does not affect the skilled groups.
