  • Abstract
Development of wireless communications is in constant progression. To have good insight in practical realizations of wireless communication systems, we need statistical description of propagation channels. In this paper analysis of outage performance of switch-and-stay combining (SSC) diversity receiver in the presence of interference, as dominant nuisance, is presented. At first, the proposed system over correlated β-μ fading channels is obtained. Secondly, the same diversity approach is considered in diminishing simultaneous influences of correlated fading and shadowing phenomena. Given this fact, the outage probability of SSC system over generalized-K fading channels is also evaluated. Based on new derived analytical results, the influence of correlation between desired and between interfering signals, changing of fading and shadowing condition over propagation channel and impact of switching threshold is analyzed. Some of presented numerical results are confirmed by simulations. The reported results here are also part of author´s PhD thesis.
