Abstract :
A novel adaptive method of parameters selection for smoothed pseudo Winger-Ville distribution (SPWVD) is proposed in this paper. The proposed method can supply the optimal performance of the SPWVD for a signal which lack of prior knowledge. Based on a feature value for the determination of the SPWVD maximum concentration, the Genetic Algorithm is used in the adaptive method. The proposed feature value can overcome some limitations of the concentration measures presented by previous studies. Some simulations are presented and they indicate that the proposed method is effective for the choice of parameters for SPWVD.
