  • Abstract
    In order to adjust temperatures of superheating sections in Benson type once-through boilers, in this paper, a combined feedback-feedforward (FB-FF) fuzzy logic control strategy is employed. The feedforward (FF) control system is able to respond, in advance, to any variation in the system by adjusting the rate of spray in superheating sections. Two local fuzzy logic controllers cooperate with FF controller to eliminate the effect of unmeasured disturbances and to regulate the temperatures in superheating systems. The performance of the proposed control system is compared with the results of others recent researches as well as with response of the actual conventional cascade control system. The results show significant enhancement of the system with proposed control strategy.
