Abstract :
An efficient and accurate approach for the transient analysis of lossy coupled transmission lines using rational function approximations for the line propagation function and characteristic admittance is reported. For lossy lines with constant parameters, the rational function approximations are computed by Pade approximation about infinite frequency. For lossy lines with frequency dependent loss, the rational approximations are obtained by nonlinear least square fit of the frequency data
