Abstract
In this paper, a new modeling technique was used to describe the time-domain responses of microwave spiral inductors, which leads to wideband models. This method is suitable for modeling the spiral inductors used in switching type microwave circuits such as LC tank Voltage-Controlled Oscillator (VCO) or in filters. The model simulation and device measurement results of a 3.5-turns/17μm line-width spiral inductor was compared.
