Abstract :
Real-time supervision for plusmn50 MVAr cascade STATCOM has been designed in this paper, and the inherent operation monitoring and fault diagnosis system has also been discussed. A plusmn50 MVAr cascade STATCOM system has been introduced, according to the system, real-time supervisory control and data acquisition for cascade STATCOM has been carried out. It can accurately determine operating conditions of the STATCOM system and provide comprehensive real-time supervision. The designed real-time supervision system has been proved successful in the plusmn50 Mvar cascade STATCOM, and also available for other FACTS/DFACTS devices
