Abstract :
Low heating efficiency, unbalanced three-phase power, poor utilization ratio of rated capability of the electric apparatus employed at each oil well are the main problems in the single-phase power induction technique with hollow pumping rod for development of viscous and high-solidifying oil deposits. The medium-frequency induction heater proposed in this paper can be used to solve the above problems. The frequency of the new heater can be continuously adjusted from 500 Hz to 8 kHz and the maximum output power is 200 kW. The structure, operation principle, performance and application of the new induction heater are introduced in the paper
