Abstract :
The Internet of Things that is ubiquitous and heterogeneous includes wire and/or wireless networks that are fixed and/or mobile, in which mobility management technologies are not only very important but also challenging. Basic issues in mobility management such as naming and addressing, location management, packet delivery to mobile destinations, handover, roaming and challenges for providing seamless mobility are analyzed. The present research situations on mobility management technologies by international standardization organizations are surveyed.
