Abstract
This paper describes a usage of ontologies for describing the data model for a cloud based Internet content provider. The system uses the events watched on the TV along with the user profiles as input in order to search for the content which can be of interest to the user. This content originates from both the digital video broadcasting (DVB) stream and also from the Internet and is mapped to the ontology regardless of its origin. All the acquired content is then filtered and presented to the end user based on his or her profile.
