Abstract
Small-world P2P media streaming network model organizes and manages nodes by forming clusters. When a lot of nodes fail at the same time, the model has better fault tolerance. This paper studies BEAM(Bit strEAMing), a small-world P2P media streaming model, and improves it. A new model SWFTM(Small-World Fault-Tolerant Model) is also proposed in the paper. Different from BEAM, SWFTM has some new features: one node only joins one cluster, establishing inner cluster links by super node, checking service nodes´ failure only. The simulation experiments show that SWFTM performs better than BEAM in terms of fault-tolerant.
