Abstract :
In wireless sensor networks, locating a source from its emissions has gained considerable interest over the past few years. In this paper, an enhanced constrained total least squares estimator is proposed for the localization problem under an additive measurement error model. Compared with CTLS algorithm, our method takes not only linear term of TDOA measurement noise but also quadratic term which is more reasonable in practical scenario into consideration. On this basis, we use the Newton´s numerical method to solve the nonlinear problem. Finally, we conduct Monte Carlo simulation, which shows our method performs slightly better than CTLS, though bigger error is added in the system while the complexity of the algorithm is similar with CTLS.
